Learning Support for Disabled Students Undertaking Fieldwork and Related Activities


Aims of the Project

The project is designed to identify, promote and transfer the principles and good practices of how to provide learning support for disabled students undertaking fieldwork and related activities.

Project Team

The GDN is a consortium of Higher Education Institutions based at Cheltenham & Gloucester College of Higher Education. Eight other institutions are involved in this project (see below). The partners have experience of working together effectively; most were part of the Project Teams in the HEFCE-funded FDTL 'Dissemination of Good Teaching, Learning and Assessment Practices in Geography' and DfEE-funded 'Key Skills in Geography in Higher Education' projects.

Funding and Timetable

The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) has awarded the project 50,000 from 1 January 2000 - 30 November 2001, under its 'Improving Provision for Disabled Students' programme.
